The Coffee Making Experience is a half agritourism activity done at a community farm near Kisoro town demonstrating how local farmers plant, harvest, and roast coffee. The Coffee Making Experience is an ecological model for ensuring local communities benefit from the growing gorilla tourism in the region.
Compliment the amazing gorilla tracking experience with a coffee making tour. Spend the whole day with small scale farmers near Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Through the coffee tour, you will learn how to dig, weed and harvest organic coffee in a real farming environment. You will get involved and learn about the process from seedlings to the drink/cup.
You will be able to take part in picking, pounding, roasting, grinding, and drinking coffee. The skills and knowledge needed by farmers will bring a new appreciation to your coffee drinking habits. Here you take nothing, but the coffee making experience.
